I pride myself on being more than just someone to listen, but someone to help you look at things a different way.
My goal as a therapist is to be present and encouraging along ones journey. Life is not easy and sometimes you just need a place to put the “stuff” or the “mess” and be able to breathe for a minute. As your therapist, my role is to guide you as you take steps towards positive life changes, healing, and a healthy mind. Together we’ll work to uncover and better understand life’s challenges and day-to-day stressors that detract from your life and focus, and begin identifying and practicing things that will make you stronger.
Therapy is meant to be a completely individual experience, and I treat it as such, with deep compassion and absolutely no judgment. I empower my clients to take control of the therapy process in order for their sessions to be tailored to their needs. This journey is yours and yours only and I strive to ensure your goals are met and you feel a sense of relief from what started your treatment process.

I have been working in the social services field since 2006 when I moved to Florida and began working as a case manager with a contracted agency with the Department of Children and Families. There I held a case management position that also led to supervisory positions and I ultimately ended my career there as an adoption supervisor. From this point, I began my time as a mental health clinician at an outpatient Baycare facility, where I worked with all ages and conditions and mostly helping those coming out of a crisis situation. I have facilitated intensive outpatient groups and groups geared towards teen girls, to help give them tools and coping skills to navigate the murky waters of adolescence.
My experience working with the Department of Children and Families has allowed me to become an expert on dealing with children and families and I feel especially drawn towards our adolescent population. I fully believe that our young people are dealing with a different social world than any of us could understand and they often need a sounding board and most importantly, someone who isn’t going to judge them.
I’ve also spent a significant amount of time working with adoption related issues and supporting adoptive parents in their process to becoming parents and obstacles that face them ahead. Currently, I continue to contract with local agencies where I complete the adoption home study process for those parents who are planning adopt.
Private practice has always been my end goal for my career and I have been happily in private practice since 2016.
